Rosie and Rob's Save the Date Card

A little while ago Rosie messaged me and asked me if I'd be willing to help them with their save the date cards. Of course I said yes as I always love a photography challenge!

Rosie and Rob had some really good ideas about how they wanted the card to look and if the creativity shown in their card ideas is anything to go by it's going to be a very beautiful and original wedding.

We went to one of their favourite places to get the photo and after some experimenting, and some strange light realisations, we managed to get enough photos they liked to choose one. The idea was to have just the details in focus.

We did some editing to bring out the greeness (a little is always lost in the snapping process) of the woods, the dreaminess and the beautiful light that day, as well as on the focus area.

Here is the final result which they've kindly let me share :)

Coolest Mug in the World For a Photography Fan and Streetlight Blossom

Browsing Firebox is always a risky buisness. Today I saw this great mug for any photography lovers who drink tea or coffee. I'm not much of a hot drinker myself but I could be swayed if it came in this...

Here is a photo I took whilst standing at the bus stop the other night. It's the blossom tree illuminated by the streetlight. Interesting to see the natural and the manmade working together.

A Spring Day in Canterbury in Ten Photographs

Today, I visited Canterbury. It was springlike and more beautiful than ever for it.

The photos were all taken with the Camera+ app and various FX were applied. At the moment I'm experimenting a lot with the I Love Analogue effects which are generally quite bright and suit my current upbeat mood.

Introduction

"The best camera is the one you have with you"

Indeed. Perhaps that is why I have fallen in love with the iPhone as a camera. Nor am I the only one-iPhoneography is now a widepspread term used for the art of iPhone photography-the use of the native camera and the many creative apps that go with it.

This blog is dedicated to my iPhoneography. Iphones, and other smart phones, are an excellent way to get great photos of your surroundings and other things happening around you. The editing options are vast and the limitations are...actually there are no limitations.

I hope I can inspire just one more person to think of their phone as more than just a connection to Facebook or a way to make a phonecall...but also as a tool to create art and freeze memories.

Happy snapping!/ Cate
